Shred Event - New Pictures!

Grafton Township & the Lorain County Solid Waste District will host a shred event on Friday, June 23rd from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. or earlier if the truck is full. It will be held before Friday’s dumpster days event. Unfortunately, the events couldn’t be held simultaneously. The shredding service is free to Lorain County residents, is provided by the Lorain County Commissioners & the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District, & is for the destruction of personal & confidential paper documents. Documents from businesses, churches, municipalities, organizations, schools, etc., will not be accepted at this shred event. However, they are accepted at the Solid Waste Management District’s Collection Center located at 540 South Abbe Road in Elyria. For this event, please limit items to 5 small blue plastic bags (i.e., no large bags or boxes) & bring proof of residency. There isn’t a limit when taking items directly to the Solid Waste Management District’s Collection Center on Abbe Road. Binders, clips, & other metal items must be removed before arriving. Books, magazines, etc., will not be accepted.
